| The gold filled and silver filled ear wires we use are nickel free and lead free. The connecting rings (jump rings) are lead free and may contain trace amounts of nickel. | |
| The wood that we use comes from many sources. Our work requires short pieces of wood, so we can make use of lumber too short for cabinets, or lumber cut from firewood. We also use lumber from shipping crates. | |
| Shipping is calculated at
checkout for the continental U.S and Canada. Please contact us at info@woodenthreads.com for shipping to other locations. |

| About us | |
|
Wooden Threads is a wood sculpture site featuring many materials that are re-claimed, re-used or rescued from the wood burning pile. This at times makes identifying the specific species of woods used difficult. I will put what I do know such as looks like, grain pattern, colors. I also appreciate nail holes like the worm holes and spalting as character in the wood that arrived before I began working on it. The photos are a good guide to our work although it sometimes is difficult to capture its beauty in full. |
